About Me

My name is Andrea.  I’m 27 years old, and have been married to my wonderful husband for four years.  We don’t have any human children but we have three cats – Delilah, Matilda, and Pocket.  I’m a full-time teacher and I love my job.  One of the most rewarding things is seeing a child’s eyes light up when they realize they have made progress.

In my free time, I enjoy scrapbooking, making jewelry, and playing video games.  I’m currently working on beating Kirby’s Epic Yarn. I can play several instruments, my primary instrument being the clarinet.  I can also sing (not very well, in my opinion, but I’ve been told I’m very critical of myself).  I also love reading, watching movies, and listening to music. The Harry Potter series includes some of my favorite books and movies. I’ll watch almost any comedy once (depending on the actors). As for music, right now I prefer punk rock. Not the screaming sort of punk, but more old-school: Ramones, Black Flag, Misfits, Sex Pistols, and Descendents.

I have a very high-strung personality – a trait that I am working hard to diminish.  I like everything in my life to be as planned as possible, but I’m working to bring some spontaneity back in my life. I’m also trying hard to lose weight. A few of my favorite healthy foods are homemade fruit smoothies, whole wheat pasta with kale and sweet Italian turkey sausage, and barbecue glazed turkey meatloaf. It’s a hard road staying away from foods that I love such as potatoes, rice, and chocolate, but so far I’m managing to find healthier foods that I enjoy just as much.

I’ve neglected my website for about two and a half years, after some real-life issues got in the way.  I’m looking forward to bringing it back to life and participating in online activities that I once enjoyed.  I’m hoping that the pre-made layout is temporary, but my coding and design skills  are pretty rusty.

If there is anything else you want to know, please ask. I usually feel awkward talking about myself but I don’t mind answering questions.
